Portage la Prairie, MB – Despite claims she didn’t need anything for Christmas, Tina Beaulieu has been strongly hinting for gifts for more than a decade.

The 75 year-old mother and grandmother has been wearing socks with holes in them and putting out cracked and chipped dinner wear every time family came home in hopes they would pick up she wanted some new stuff for Christmas.

“I don’t want to come out and say I want them to buy me anything,” said Beaulieu.  “But my toes have been hanging out of my socks like baby potatoes for years now.”

Mrs. Beaulieu has also been putting out thread bare dish and hand towels in hopes of her family picking up the hint that some nice new house wears would be a nice thing to buy her.

“No one appreciates subtleties.  I guess I’ll have to give them a list next year,” said Beaulieu.  At press time there were still no presents for the aging woman under the tree and her children were still believing she didn’t want anything for Christmas.
