Early this fall The Hoop and Holler broke the news of the trend of outdoor furniture in Portage la Prairie and area. The Hoop has learned that the use of outdoor furniture has taken a potentially troubling twist. Area residents have become concerned with a pair of matching arm chairs sitting by the back lane between 2nd and 3rd Street N.W. According to some, the chairs may be have been used on an occasion or two as an outdoor drinking lounge. The Hoop could find no evidence of such a claim but would recommend adding a pair of end tables or perhaps a rustic coffee table to hold drinks and snacks. It’s also important to point out that if the chairs have been used for a place to partake of alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages it does encourage people to never drink alone. If you have any more information regarding the use of the chairs, concerns over their use or what time happy hour is please give The Hoop a holler at firstname.lastname@example.org or just leave us a comment. The Hoop and Holler will attempt to forward this development to George Thorogood in hopes he may pen a song about our fair city.
